An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, committed, and enthusiastic General Practice Nurse to join our dedicated nursing team. Knoweldege and skills in the following areas are desirable:
- Chronic disease management skills (including diabetes and respiratory)
- Women’s health, health promotion and screening (including contraceptive advice, cervical screening, and vaginal ring pessary changes)
- Immunisation and vaccination (including children and adults)
- Other general practice nurse duties (including wound management)
We are offering:
- Competitive salary plus NHS pension and RCN fees paid
- 20 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, 8 Health Care Assistants, 2 Phlebotomists, and 1 Paramedic
- 10 Partners, 11 Salaried GPs and a total of around 135 staff
- A team of Nurse Practitioners who manage our urgent same day care
- A dedicated Mental Health Nurse and a Social Prescribing team
- We have GPs with special interests in Dermatology, ENT, and MSK
- Pharmacists who manage patient medication queries and discharge letters
- Fantastic admin team who provides efficient and friendly support
- We regularly invest in collective and individual staff training
- We are a Medical Academy working closely supporting student training
- We work closely with our established Primary Care Network Community Services and the ICB
- We achieved a ‘Good’ CQC report in September 2018 and again in Feb 2022
