Apply today and take the first step towards an exciting and fulfilling career with us at SPC! - https://tinyurl.com/SafeguardingLeadNurse Job Role and Responsibilities: • Perform recommended audits in line with Named GP for Safeguarding Adults / Children • Keep an up-to-date record of adults / children with safeguarding issues and ensure regular review • Regular chairing of safeguarding team meetings within the practice which may include other community healthcare team members i.e. district nurses, midwives, Palliative care nurses, health visitors and school nurses • Offer advice and guidance to GP colleagues on safeguarding cases • Listen to any safeguarding concerns raised by any member of the practice team • Meet regularly with the key safeguarding administrator in the practice regarding coding, summarising and other issues • Regularly attending Practice Safeguarding Lead Forums hosted by the CCG Named GPs • Attend Adult and Child Safeguarding Conferences • Facilitating in-house staff safeguarding training such as updates • Work closely with the practice manager and the practice Caldicott Guardian • Build relationships and link in with the ICB Leads for Childrens and Adult Safeguarding • Work with the Head of Nursing to ensure the practice has access to local and national safeguarding adults/children procedures • Work with the Head of Nursing to ensure the practice meets its contractual and governance requirements on safeguarding adults / children • Level 4 safeguarding qualification is needed - we are happy to arrange this training if needed What we Offer: • Sessions can be delivered on a hybrid basis with a focus on work / life balance • Leadership and Management support from Clinical Lead and Medical Director • Induction, training, and IT set up (Full kit supplied) • 6 Weeks Annual Leave, generous Sick Pay and protected time for CPD • 5 Fixed Study Leave Days • Full NHS Pension • Access to Training and Development and career portfolio • Contract based on BMA model contract • Numerous other benefits such as car lease schemes • Opportunities to pick up additional clinical sessions either in practice or remotely About Us: Sussex Primary Care came about in response to a need from GP Partners in local practices who were seeking a different future.
