We have a fantastic opportunity for a salaried GP to join our friendly team for 4-6 sessions per week. The role is based in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, which has been rated as one of the best places to live within the UK. Bishop's Stortford is a vibrant market town with close links to Stansted Airport, London and Cambridge the M11 and M25. Church Street Partnership is a large 3 branch practice with 6 GP Partners and approximately 16,500 registered patients. The practice is rated 'Good' by the CQC. The practice is an active member of Stort Valley and Villages Primary Care Network , bringing together 5 local GP surgeries across Stort Valley & Villages, serving approximately 66,000 patients. With the combined workforce, skills and knowledge, we are in a unique position to assist our patients across the county. Dr Sian Stanley, one of the GP Partners at Church Street Partnership holds a dual role as Clinical Director of Stort Valley & Villages Primary Care Network. Stort Valley Primary Care Network has been nominated for multiple innovation and quality awards, such as PCN of the Year, Health Innovation and Link Worker of the Year. You will be part of the GP team managing a busy, interesting clinical caseload, spread over the populations covered by Church Street Partnership and ensuring the highest standard of care for all registered and temporary patients. You will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of an NHS general practitioner using the standards expected by the GMC and RCGP in line with appropriate national and local guidelines. In accordance with the practice rota, as agreed, you will make yourself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery, telephone and electronic consultations and queries, visiting patients’ homes, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. You will be making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other care workers within the organisation. About the Candidate: You will have the following qualifications: -Fully qualified GP with GMC registration -Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate) -Be on the NHSE medical performers list Skills, including: -Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management and primary prevention & screening services; -Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date; -Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety; -Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice; -Excellent inter-personal and communication skills in a confidential manner. As well as general practice, we: -offer extended access hours appointments to enable all of our patients to access medical care at evening and weekends; -work collaboratively with the Primary Care Network to provide additional services, social prescribing and an Urgent Same Day service. - are an accredited training practice, -have many more exciting ventures on the horizon. There is a wide socio-economic demographic served within this area. which provides an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.
