Are you someone who wants to make a positive difference to people’s healthcare? Harvey Group Practice is looking for a Receptionist to join our excellent, friendly and dedicated Front of House team. This is an opportunity for a rewarding role where no two days are the same and requires the successful candidate to possess excellent communication skills, be motivated and have an empathetic nature. Our practice is located in the market town of St Albans and is one of two practices that make up HaLo PCN. We serve around 14000 patients with an innovative team of doctors and nurses, first contact physiotherapists, therapists and pharmacists. We also have a branch site in the Jersey Farm area of St Albans. You will be working with our front-line clinical teams to support the delivery of the highest quality primary care service to our patients. More specifically, GP Receptionists will be responsible for helping to maintain a friendly but effective first-line of patient contact, deal with patient tasks appropriately, follow our systems and protocols and keep the practice presentable and safe. Day to day responsibilities include answering patient queries on the phone, booking new and follow up patients with the right clinician, calling patients to book them in for health checks and vaccinations Undertake necessary admin duties appropriate to the post Have the flexibility to support and help with periodic clinics such as flu clinics and have the capacity to share team availability for staff sickness, holidays and extended hours You’ll need to follow our systems, policies and procedures carefully and ensure that you maintain confidentiality at all times.
