Care Navigator/Receptionist – Derby Road and Pinewood Practice

We are looking for two new Care Navigator’s/Receptionist’s to join our friendly, busy and motivated team. Flexibility to work at both the Derby Road and Pinewood surgeries is essential along with the ability to assist with holiday and sickness cover when needed.
You must have excellent customer service and administration skills with a good general standard of education including Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent. Most important is the ability to remain calm in an extremely busy and sometimes challenging environment along with the sensitivity to deal with our patients kindly yet efficiently at all times. Previous experience in general practice would be advantageous but training will be given if we believe you are the right person for the position.

To receive and assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors either in person or via the telephone.
To ensure that telephones are answered promptly and politely at all times, accurate messages taken and calls passed to the appropriate person as necessary, supplying information as required in a timely fashion.
To cover duties of absent members of staff as and when required including cover during tea/lunch breaks at reception as and when required.
To be flexible in the workplace in terms of hours worked as and when the need arises and be prepared to work across both sites.
We are a friendly group practice with a strong multi-disciplinary team and as part of the Care Navigation team you will work along-side all of our clinicians. Overall leadership is provided by 4 partners, 2 practice managers. 2 Head Receptionists. Together we care for 17,500 patients over 2 sites.
The shifts will be as follows:
Vacancy 1:
Mon: 08:00 - 18:30 (Derby Road)
Tues: 08:00 - 18:30 (Derby Road)
Thurs:08:00 - 18:30 (Pinewood)
Vacancy 2:
Weds: 08:00 - 18:30 (Pinewood)
Thurs: 08:00 - 18:30 (Derby Road)
Fri: 08:00 - 18:30 (Derby Road)
