Kepier Medical Practice is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join their multi-skilled team working on a salaried basis between 4 -8 sessions per week.  The position is to work at the practices only site in  Leyburn Grove, Houghton le Spring. Tyne & Wear, DH4 5EQ.

The position has the potential to develop into a partnership role should this be mutually agreeable.

Kepier Medical Practice is a friendly, pro-active and responsive practice with an overall CQC rating of Good.

The practice is committed to future of the GP workforce being a training practice, hosting a GP registrar placement on a six monthly rotation.

We currently have 4 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, and 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners who are supported by an extended clinical team consisting of 3 Practice Nurses and 1 health care assistant. We also have a 14 strong administrative team and in-house practice pharmacists.

Our patient list size is approximately 8500

The practice clinical system is EMIS Web. We also use MJOG, Clarity TeamNet, Accurx, econsult and other virtual platforms.

The duties of the post are to provide a full range of general medical services as contained within the National Health Services (Primary Care) Act 1997 and which will include domiciliary visits as deemed appropriate. The post holder is expected to provide all services outlined in the GMS Core Contract and also in the aims and objectives of the organisation.

The post holder is expected to support and input into the aims of the organisation in areas of clinical governance, good practice, quality outcomes framework, enhanced services, audit, referral review and any other improvement plans as determined by the organisation.

The post holder is encouraged to utilise and develop any skills for the improvement of services to patients.

The post holder is expected to maintain and keep good standards of computerised clinical records at all times. Full involvement in any practice training relevant to your role is expected.
