An exciting opportunity has arisen at Victor Street Surgery who are seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly team.
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and forward thinking, experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner with independent prescribing qualification to complement our team of GPs and highly skilled nurses, Health Care Assistants and administrative staff.
The successful applicant will be to work alongside GP's to provide a service for acute and minor illness and will have the necessary prescribing qualification, clinical examination and advanced practice certificate or equivalent to undertake this role. We are keen for this role to play an important part of helping manage our chronic diseases and in particular diabetes.
Victor Street Surgery is a well-established GMS practice in an urban part of Southampton with a list size of c12,400 patients.
• 6 Partners, 4 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA, 1 Phlebotomist, 1 Practice Manager, 1 Reception Manager and an administrative team of X 15
• Paperlight using TPP SystmOne software and electronic prescribing
• Excellent relationships with District Nurses, Community Matron & Case Managers & Palliative Care Nurses
• Regular in house meetings, including complex care, significant event meetings and educational meetings
• Sociable and supportive team
• Brilliant reception and administrative support
• Excellent nursing team offering specialised clinics
• Training practice
• High QoF points achieved
• CQC inspection 2016 rated good in all areas
