Acute General Practitioner
The Acute GP Service: primary care in secondary care to support patients and GPs.
We are looking for skilled and motivated GPs to work with our multidisciplinary team to improve urgent patient care.
The Acute GP Service is based at Derriford Hospital as part of the AAU. We offer patients and GPs choice at the point of need for urgent medical assessment. Our work includes a supportive clinical conversation with referring community practitioners, acute assessment as a GP with access to hospital resources and work developing relationships and the interface between primary and secondary care.
Working clinically within the team on AAU this is an interesting and challenging role that fits with a portfolio career in primary care. We are a friendly team and offer a dynamic clinical environment with opportunity for shared learning with peers and hospital colleagues.
We are looking for the right individuals for substantive work in our evolving service and also have some opportunities for locum sessions in order to explore mutual compatibility.
