Bute House Surgery and Newland Medical Practice are highly successful, forward thinking, co-located GP surgeries in Sherborne. After working closely with each other for many years, we are merging to become The Grove Medical Centre. This merger will improve our resilience and sustainability and allow us to adapt, deliver and respond to the current challenges of General Practice. Our aim is to continue to provide excellent care for our patients, whilst improving our work/life balance. These are exciting times for us to build for the future.
We need a GP to replace a retiring partner. Sessional commitment and contract (partner or salaried) negotiable. We are looking to provide flexibility and opportunities for your career progression and development. Our merged team will consist of 9 GP partners, advanced nurse practitioners, a pharmacist, a stable and high performing nursing team, highly knowledgeable dispensary team, trained and efficient back office staff, managed by a full-time practice manager partner.
- We provide services to 12500 patients from a purpose built, well maintained and owned property.
- We use TPP SystmOne.
- We have above average income secondary to our dispensing, QOF, Enhanced services, CQRS and involvement with the CCG, LMC, and local private schools.
- We have excellent relationships with our community teams, community hospital and local secondary care.
Sherborne has good transport links via road and rail. We have excellent schools both State and Independent. Beautiful countryside and close to the Jurassic coast. A great place to live and work as a GP and also “Far from the Madding Crowd”. Come and join us and be part of our team.
