About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Coder to provide accurate and timely coding of patient records. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our clinical data, supporting accurate reporting, and contributing to the efficient running of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately code clinical information from patient records, including consultations, investigations, and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of coding accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure coding compliance with national guidelines and best practices.
- Identify and report any coding discrepancies or issues.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and administrative staff to clarify coding queries.
- Keep up to date with changes in coding classifications and guidelines.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Clinical Coder in a GP or healthcare setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant coding systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
