Job Summary:
· Is for 6, £11,000+ per session (depending on experience)
· Part of a team of 9 employed GPs allowing good support and a range of experience.
· Short sessions – 13 contacts per routine surgery and protected admin time
· 2 x Duty Doctors all day (no more than 1 duty session per GP, per day)
· Dedicated early visit doctor every day (very few other visits required by other doctors)
· Opportunity and support to specialise or develop skills in certain areas of interest.
· 6 weeks annual leave + pro rata of bank holidays + 4 days study leave (together with generous training budget)
· Protected time for weekly operational meeting, monthly clinical meeting, staff training and additional responsibilities.
· MDU fees paid & on site, free parking.
· Partnership opportunities in the future for the right candidate (if desired)
About the Practice:
- Core hours 08.00 – 18.30 (closed between 1 - 2pm)
- We are a large, coastal, North Norfolk Practice set across two sites (in Holt & Melton). Our main site at Holt is purpose built, light and spacious, both sites are recently refurbished. You will be mainly based at Holt (with occasional clinics at Melton).
- We are a profitable dispensing practice (dispensing to 75% of our population) and have a Pharmacy (Kelling Pharmacy) on site at Holt.
- We have 14,300 patients, 7 partners, 3 Salaried GPs, and great support from our wider practice team of Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, Physician Associates, Physiotherapists, Clinical Pharmacists, and a widely skilled Practice Nurse team.
- We are a dynamic teaching practice for undergraduates at the UEA.
- We are a training practice for GP Registrars.
- We are a research practice and are keen to develop in this area.
- We are proactively involved in the ICB and PCN working, and we are joined in our North Norfolk PCN by Fakenham & Sheringham Surgeries.

Although busy and proactive, we are a relaxed, welcoming, and harmonious Practice which we believe makes all the difference.

Outside of our core hours there is some enhanced access appts, but these are occasional.
The post would suit both recently qualified and experienced doctors with the successful applicant being enthusiastic, hard-working, friendly, and having a good sense of humour.
