Job summary
We are currently seeking a compassionate and highly motivated practice nurse to join our friendly, busy, surgery in Gravesend supporting our nursing team on a permanent basis.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be expected to perform general nursing duties, including blood pressure checks, immunisations, cervical smears, asthma reviews, dressings etc. You will work alongside two other nurses and two HCA's.
About us
Our surgery consists of over 9,500 patients based in Gravesend,15 mins away from Bluewater shopping center. Our surgery consists of 1 partner, 3 salaried GP's, ANP, 3 paramedics, 2 nurses and 2 HCA's.
Job responsibilities
Provide high quality nursing care to our diverse patient population
Perform routine clinical procedures such as wound dressing, immunisations and health screenings.
Conduct cervical smears
Height/ weight/ BP
ECG'S
Assist with coordinating care plans and providing patient education
Diabetic and asthma reviews
maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Help maintain medical supplies and assist with ordering of stock when needed etc
other nursing tasks as required

Experience
Essential
General Practice Nurse: 1 year (required)
Qualifications
Essential
NMC registered
Able to do smears
Conduct asthma reviews
Immunisations
Desirable
Spirometry
