Foundry is an innovative single Practice PCN serving a population of circa 28,500 patients from 4 sites across the beautiful East Sussex market town of Lewes, 7 miles from Brighton and within easy reach of London. The Practice has received national acclaim for its multi-disciplinary, population health management approach. Our mission is to continuously improve the experience of care and outcomes for our local population.

Our dedicated and wholly integrated team includes a Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedics, First Contact Practitioners (FCPs), Social Prescribing Link Workers, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Care Coordinators and Mental Health Practitioners.

We are expanding our team and seeking to appoint a newly or recently qualified General Practitioner (GP) to join us on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, patient-focused GP looking to work in an innovative and supportive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified GP to join a supportive and forward-thinking team, providing high-quality care to the local community. You will have the chance to develop professionally.

  • Sessions/Days: 3 days (equivalent to 6 sessions and following standard BMA contract)

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Experience working in a primary care setting.
  • Continued professional development with a commitment to learning.
  • Newly qualified General Practitioner, with less than two years since obtaining CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training).
  • No prior substantive employment in a GP practice.
  • A general understanding of the primary care contract.

Desirable:

  • Experience with medicines management.
  • Familiarity with ICB (Integrated Care Board) initiatives.
