Our Opportunity …

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, full-time newly qualified or experienced GP to join our friendly and supportive team here in North Norfolk. Part time flexible working would be considered for the right candidate.

We are a dispensing practice providing GMS services to a mixed practice population of around 6,700 patients in North Walsham and the villages in the surrounding area. We are part of North Norfolk NN2 PCN.

Why Paston? …

We support and encourage salaried GPs who wish to pursue career progression such as medical student or GP educator training, clinical procedure training or other areas of specialist interest.

The Practice is proud to provide placements and training for GP trainees as well as teaching groups of undergraduate medical students from years 1, 3 and 4 from the University of East Anglia.

North Walsham is set for substantial population growth. This creates an exciting future for us as a medical services provider and is full of scope for a GP to develop within the Practice.

We are contracted for most enhanced services and are committed to high standards of patient care, regularly achieving very high QOF scores.

Our clinical team includes GPs, an advanced nurse practitioner, practice nurses, HCAs, clinical pharmacist and first point of contact physiotherapist. We also have access to MIND support workers and social prescriber.

Our salaried GPs are not expected to form part of the extended access rota.

The Town has many amenities, is surrounded by countryside, and is within easy access of Norwich. And the coast is just 5 miles away!

And the reward? …

Apart from working as part of a very friendly and supportive team, in a great location and with good future prospects, we offer the following: -

  • Pay will be negotiable and dependent on experience, up to £11,400 per session per year
  • A session for admin/CPD every week*
  • NHS pension and MDO fees paid (where needed)
  • Annual leave is 6 weeks, plus Bank Holidays and two NHS days*

*pro rata if not full time
