Len Valley Practice have a vacancy for an experienced Paramedic to work in General Practice.We offer a supportive and encouraging environment where you will autonomously assess,diagnose,treat and evaluate a wide variety of patients and pathologies in line with local and national guidelines.You will have the opportunity to influence direct patient care ,apply a preventative medicine approach alongside responding to acute medical needs.

The post holder will provide clinical care alongside the practice multi disciplinary team,consisting of 5 GP partners,3 Salaried GPS's,Pharmacist,full team of Practice Nurses,Health Care Assistants,Mental Health Practioner,First Contact Physiotherapists,Social Prescriber.We also have an extensive practice support team,consisting of Receptionists,Medical Secretaries and our management team.

We are looking to appoint someone with a caring nature,who will provide and maintain a professional manner and a high standard of care for our 10,200 patients and will integrate well with the team.This is a fantastic opportunity for a paramedic with good communications skills,and a commitment to working as part of a strong and effective team.There is always a GP lead working each session with the team. Asking advice or learning is very much encouraged and career development is supported.

We are part of a strong primary care network,delivering improved access ,high achieving QOF and enhanced services and PCN DES,rated good by CQC.The practice is an accredited Training practice for Student GP's ,Medical Students nd offers opportunities to progress and develop,in both clinical supervision and opportunities for training and development is provided by a supportive team.

Skills and Experience:

Essential

Applicants must be fully qualified Paramedic and have a valid HCPC registration and either have completed or working towards FCP (First Contact Practioner)

Paramedic experience within a GP practice an advantage.The flexibility to be able to cover sick/annual leave at times if required and a flexible working approach.

Job Responsibilities will include:

To assist in Pallative Care and Cancer Care reviews

To work as part of the Clinical Team which will include face to face patients assessment where appropriate after triage,home visits,Care homes ward rounds and post discharge reviews.

Provide care for the patient from initial history taking ,clinical assessment,diagnosis treatment and evaluation of care.Working as part of the Duty Team to manage the on the day patient demand.Liaising with other professional e.g district nurses ,secondary care and ambulance service.

Must have own vehicle with driving license for home visits.
