We have an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner working 4-6 sessions per week, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care to a diverse patient population, diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of health conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care, emphasising prevention, wellness, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. This is a great opportunity for a GP looking to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and professional healthcare environment.

The Humbleyard Practice is a well-established, patient-centred medical practice serving the local community with high-quality healthcare across 3 sites in the Norfolk area. Cringleford, Hethersett and Mulbarton. The practice prides itself on fostering a supportive, collaborative environment where a team of experienced 10 GPs, 15 nurses, and 7 healthcare professionals work together to ensure the well-being of all patients. The Humbleyard practice is committed to continuous improvement, innovative healthcare delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with patients and the community.

We understand and respect the need for a good work/ life balance for all our team. We provide our core services from 8:00am to 6:30pm and run extended evening hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 8pm. We run these sessions on a rota basis for all our clinical team members. We offer 15 min face to face and telephone appointments to our patients and build in protected time for administration, follow up slots and breaks into all our clinical templates. The Practice has a long-term commitment to 24 appointments per day for our GP team.

We are committed to effective team communication and align clinical templates to ensure professional discussions and best practice with the wider teams can take place. We hold monthly clinical governance meetings, site meetings, and performance reviews. Our latest developments include plans for a morning huddle to allow for daily planning and positive working cultures.

As part of our ongoing development and change management we are seeking new ways of working to relive and remove the administrative burden from our clinical teams. We are investing and growing a newly formed GP support team who support all our clinical teams with this work, allowing our clinical teams more time to focus on patients and the quality of care. We are consistently changing and developing our ways of working and practices and would welcome applications from candidates that would like to lead on change projects and leadership.

Several of our GP partners have developed specialisms in women’s health, dermatology, joint injections, and minor operations. We are keen to support our clinical teams to develop in areas of interest and to provide new and different ways of caring for our patient list. We are also a teaching practice with regular registrars joining our team to complete sections of their training. The Humbleyard practice understands that staff thrive when they feel valued and for some this means seeing a progressive career path. We support our staff to access ongoing development and welcome discussions about career progression desires throughout your employment with us.
