Health Care Assistant – Sandgate Road Surgery

An opportunity has arisen due to retirement for the role of a Health Care Assistant at Sandgate Road Surgery, Folkestone. Located in West Folkestone just a short walk from the Folkestone Leas the practice provides primary care services to approximately 13,000 patients.
This is a part-time position of 24 hours per week. The hourly rate of pay will be in the range of £11.44-£12.92 depending on skills and experience. In addition you will be able to access membership in the NHS pension scheme
Experience working as a HCA in general practice would be a distinct advantage. However, we would be willing to provide training to applicants who have already obtained or are in the process of obtaining qualifications and professional competencies required for the role. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and computer skills along with the ability to multi-task and to work both independently and within a team.
As part of your duties you will offer a range of diagnostic and therapeutic services including phlebotomy, ECGs, 24 hour BP monitors, Dressings, injections, Diabetic Health Checks, NHS health checks & assisting with minor surgery
