GP Salaried – Steyning Medical Practice

We are looking for a Salaried GP to add to our existing clinical team, at our modern and friendly GP Practice, in the beautiful historic village of Steyning. A pretty village at the foot of the South Downs National Park, with easy access to Brighton and Worthing on the South Coast.
The job itself is pretty much the same as any other GP role
However, we try to be as supportive as possible and to make everyone feel like they are part of the team and limit workload.
General practice can be a lonely job and it is easy to feel isolated and overwhelmed at times, something we are acutely aware of as partners.
We can’t change the current issues in the NHS and in general practice, but what we can do is make the job fun, collaborative and as supportive as possible.
As a rule, everyone’s doors are open and we regularly wander in and out of each other’s room to ask advice, have a chat or a moan or just a general catch up on the day.
There is usually a supply of sweets hidden in the doctor’s cupboard and a frequent supply of doughnuts in the staff kitchen.
Every July there is a summer BBQ for all staff and their families
And a staff only Xmas party in December
As well as other events throughout the year
4-8 sessions are available, and partnership would be considered to the right candidate if desired.
Starting salary of £9-11k per session/per annum
According to experience and skill set/responsibility
15min appointments
25 appointments per routine day (2 sessions)

BMA contract offered
Systmone, Ardens and Accurx
The practice has 12,000 patients and works from an outstanding modern, purpose-built health centre (with air con!) And a small branch surgery, in the neighbouring village of Upper Beeding.
We are a practice of 5 GP partners, 4 salaried GPs, one ANPs and one Paramedic Practitioner as well as an incredible team of nurses, HCAs, prescription team, pharmacy tech, admin, secretaries, receptionists and ARRS staff.
We are members of an active PCN with three other practices in the Chanctonbury locality and use Systmone as well as Ardens, Accurx and e-consult.
We are well staffed clinically but want to provide more flexibility and cover to our team as well as future proofing for whatever is thrown at us next
