We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, self motivated Health Care Assistant to join our very busy Clinical Team.
Our team consists of 6 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 1 IP Pharmacist, 1 Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants, 1 Phlebotomist, and a team of Administrators and Care Navigators. We are a caring Practice which serves over 8971 patients in both Oaklands Surgery (Bedlinog) and Treharris Primary Care Centre (Valleys Medical Group).
Experience of working in General Practice is an advantage.
We are fully computerised using Vision Clinical System.
The role involves working with a varied multi-skilled team assisting both Medical and Clerical personnel in the care of our patient population. This includes Treatment, Preventative Care, Screening and Patient Education.
Duties include (these are just an example of tasks undertaken):
Supporting GPs, Phlebotomy, Room checks (replenishing GPs rooms), Trolley Checks, Supporting the Nursing Team, Fridge Checks, Ordering of stock.
Desirable but not essential:
Flexible/Good Team Player/Good Knowledge of General Practice.
