We are a friendly GP Practice looking to recruit an experienced Medical Secretary for approximately 25 hours per week.

The person would be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative tasks.

Duties will include but are not limited to:-

  • Processing referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS)
  • Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
  • Manage all administrative queries as necessary
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
  • Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
  • Maintain an accurate referral database
  • Audiotyping (Touch-typing)
  • Arranging meetings and taking minutes
  • Dealing with queries in secretarial email account and action accordingly
  • Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently
  • Manage all enquiries in an effective manner 

Salary to be discussed at interview.

Previous good secretarial experience is essential for this role.
