Shere Surgery & Dispensary

Shere Surgery & Dispensary are looking to recruit a Salaried GP for 6 – 8 sessions per week at our friendly practice in Shere, Guildford, Surrey

We are a rural dispensing practice on the outskirts of Guildford in Surrey, serving 12 local villages. The surgery was purpose built in 1993 and has been equipped to a high standard with the support of a patient-led charity trust.

GP's working at Shere Surgery & Dispensary will enjoy our supportive and welcoming atmosphere, working alongside 7 other GP's and a multidisciplinary team including: Advance Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, MSK First Contact Practitioners, Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators.

Shere Surgery has a nurturing teaching ethos throughout the practice, we are a training practice for GP trainees, F2 Doctors and medical students on placement and on occasions you might be asked to provide guidance and supervision when occasionally required, and if interested, this role could be broadened to more formal trainer status.

As a training practice within our community, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach to healthcare, with a focus on delivering excellent patient care and high standards of clinical governance. We provide GMS services to approximately 8500 patients.

Salary is dependent upon experience.

  • Registered on the GMC GP Register with licence to practice
  • On an NHS National performers list (England, Wales or Northern Ireland)
  • UK based (necessity)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent clinical decision making skills
  • A passion for healthcare
  • Motivated and committed to developing the knowledge and skills required for the role and for ongoing professional development
