About us: New Dover Road Surgery is a reputable and patient-centred General Practice committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our diverse community of over 10,000 patients in and around Canterbury. We are based on one site near the city centre and have an established, dedicated and enthusiastic team working together to provide the best care we can, to our patients. We are part of a thriving PCN and work closely with the other six practices in Canterbury.
Main duties of the job: The role of the practice manager is multifaceted. Your key responsibilities encompass overseeing the seamless day-to-day operations of the practice, coordinating all aspects of its daily business, and providing motivation and guidance to the staff. You will need to collaborate closely with partners to craft and implement strategic visions, aiming to enhance both patient care and the working environment for our dedicated team. Essential to the role is fostering effective relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring transparent communication throughout the practice, and actively contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership: Inspire and lead our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the practice.
2. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and billing processes to maintain the financial health of the practice.
3. HR Management: Recruit, train, and manage staff to create a positive and collaborative work environment
4. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards eg: CQC, HSE maintaining the highest level of compliance.
5. Patient Experience: Focus and enhancing patient satisfaction and engagement through effective communication and service improvements. This includes complaint management.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in healthcare management or administration.
· Strong leadership and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of medical practice operations and financial management.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
