Conveniently placed beside the train station where we have a practice list size of 11,400 patients. We are a team of 2 HCAs, 1 Nurse, 2 ANPs, 2 salaried GPs and 4 clinical partners with a committed practice manager who also acts as a non-clinical partner. AMC are very well supported by an experienced professional admin and reception team with a dedicated prescription division. AMC is part of a successful PCN with 2 local practices. This brings a wider interactive team of first contact physiotherapists, mental health support workers, health and wellbeing officers and social prescribers. Most importantly, we have an open-door policy and support has always been a core ethos for all our staff. This creates an easy inclusive environment we are proud to work in We are a training practice of both GP registrars and medical students from Sunderland and Newcastle. A bit more the partners: Antonia Stephenson, our senior partner, trained locally in Newcastle. She is our safeguarding and PCN lead. She also gives valued pastoral and human resources support and is our clinical lead for our PCN. Emma Harker, also locally trained is an experienced teacher for all years of Newcastle and Sunderland medical students. She is currently specialising in diabetes management. Jade Redhead, another locally trained GP is our learning disability lead and has specialist interest in mental health. Angela Clarke, our PM facilitates the running of the practice from the large to the small. Charlotte Buckley, trained in Liverpool. Charlotte is the prescribing lead, cancer care lead for the PCN and registrar trainer of both ST1 and ST3. She is currently completing her GPSI training in dermatology, she has an interest in dermoscopy, minor surgery and joint injections.
