Ringwood Medical Practice seeks a highly skilled and enthusiastic GP to join our team of partners, salaried doctors, ANPs, nurses, HCAs, and phlebotomists.
We are an approachable and supportive team with an open-door policy. We are proud to have a fabulous multidisciplinary team to support us and look after a list of 11,100 patients around Ringwood.
We are seeking those who want to work in a beautiful part of the country, close to the south coast beaches and on the edge of the New Forest national park. There are excellent local facilities for families of all ages. We can support you with relocation and have opportunities to develop a varied portfolio career and be involved in further developing the practice.

Ringwood Medical Practice
We care for our patients from our modern, purpose built and well-equipped surgery on one site in the centre of Ringwood, easily accessible from the A31.We try hard to preserve the best elements of traditional general practice being friendly, accessible, responsive to local need and offering continuity to our patients. We operate total triage- meaning we deal with patients’ problems on the day in 10 remote triage appointments per session with 4 telephone follow up appointments and face to face appointments decided by the clinician.
We have good systems for long term condition management, supported by experienced practice nurses for COPD, asthma and diabetes and we consistently score highly on QOF. Our admin is paper light and our processes and support staff help with this.
We are a member of the Avon Valley Primary Care Network (PCN) together with Cornerways, Twin Oaks and Fordingbridge surgeries. We are fortunate to be incredibly well supported by ARRS staff employed through this. We have a pharmacy team running our medications monitoring systems and medicines reconciliation of letters and discharge summaries. We have first contact MSK physiotherapy. We have a home visiting paramedic service and a frailty (admission avoidance) team to help with home visits. We have a patient wellbeing team including mental health practitioners, social prescribers, and care navigators.
We are a well-established training practice hosting registrars and medical students from the University of Southampton in their final year.
We use SystmOne for our clinical record, AccuRx, have video calling facility and eConsult.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic salaried GP, or salaried GP with good prospects for partnership, working 6-8 sessions across 3-4 days (but we would welcome a discussion about alternative working patterns). As a high-earning practice, we will offer a competitive salary to the right applicant.
