Pharmacy Technician
Network Poole North, a Primary Care Network (PCN) of four GP Practices with a patient population of approximately 52,000 are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join its friendly, supportive and hardworking pharmacy team of six PCN Pharmacists and three Pharmacy Technicians as we expand and grow our team. We are a friendly group of practices and you will be well supported by our pharmacy team, Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Director and wider healthcare colleagues in your duties.
We are looking for 1 WTE but are open to part time working or job sharing.
Main duties of the job
Primary care clinical pharmacy is developing, and we are looking for a motivated individual who has previous technician experience and qualifications who is flexible to respond to the developing nature of the role and the needs and priorities of individuals requiring support.
Under the direction of the clinical pharmacists we expect that you will be able to work independently and manage your own workload as well as liaise with and support our current pharmacy technician. You will need excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with patients, primary care staff, community pharmacists and other partners.
A big part of the role at the start is that you will be expected to commit to and engage with the PCPEP course and it is important that applicants research this thoroughly to ensure they have the capacity to commit to this important and rewarding course.
Medicines reconciliation, MHRA alerts, supporting each practices Pharmacist and wider PCN projects are at the heart of this job role. Depending on personal preference there will be opportunities for face to face patient clinics if this is what you wish to develop in future.
Our organisation
Our PCN consists of Canford Heath Group Practice, Harvey Practice, Hadleigh Practice and Birchwood Medical Centre and you will be based in our PCN office at Birchwood.
