Castle Street Medical Centre is looking to recruit a GP to join our friendly practice team.

 

We would consider 6-8 sessions per week.

 

The surgery serves over 3,700 patients in Bolsover and the surrounding areas.

 

Castle Street Medical Centre is a training practice.

Castle Street Medical Centre is a part of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS).

 

DCHS employs around 4,400 people, making us one of the largest providers of specialist community health services in the country. We serve a patient population of more than 1.1 million people across Derbyshire and Derby and are rated ‘Outstanding’ overall by the Care Quality Commission.

 

We operate 4 GP practices over 5 sites: Castle St Medical Centre, Creswell & Langwith Medical Centre, Ripley Medical Centre, and St Lawrence Rd Surgery. Each practice is rated 'good' by the CQC and exceeds the national average in the GP Patient Survey.

 

Ripley Medical Centre has been a part of the Trust since 2016. It has a list of almost 6,000 patients and is steadily growing. The team comprises of (excluding this post) 5x GPs, 1x ACP and a nursing team, there is also additional clinical support from colleagues in the wider Trust and via the PCN.

 

Key details about the role:

  • The role is advertised at 6.75 sessions / 30 hours per week, ideally working 3 x 10 hour days.
  • As a clinician, they will provide a portfolio of medical services, including managing a caseload, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.
  • They will work collaboratively and support the Lead Clinician and practice team to manage a busy and interesting clinical caseload.
  • They will lead on key areas within the practice, such as specific QOF domains, quality standards, and practice initiatives, as agreed with the Clinical Lead and/or Practice Manager.
  • The successful candidate would also be expected to support the extended access service.
