2 new Receptionist Posts are now available at Polden Medical Practice 

We are an expanding Medical Practice in Edington and Woolavington, situated in the Polden Hills.  We are committed to providing a high level of care to our patients and due to an increased practice list size; we have an exciting opportunity available for a part-time receptionist to join our extremely friendly and dedicated Reception team.  We have 2 positions available with hours ranging from 20 hrs to full-time if preferred so very negotiable.   

The Practice is operational between the hours of 8.00am to 6.30pm and flexibility would be an advantage to assist with covering these hours.  Our receptionists work at both surgeries within a busy team and are the patient’s first point of contact.

We are looking for a self-motivating, enthusiastic person/s to work in a dynamic and positive work environment.  The job is a rewarding one with a sense of achievement and lots of interaction with our staff and patients.  You will have strong verbal communication and computer skills and be able to deliver high quality customer service in a pleasant professional manner along with being approachable and empathetic.  Ideally you will have previous experience within Primary or Secondary Care but we will always consider applicants with transferrable skills from other similar roles.   Full training will be given in the receptionist role and the bespoke NHS skills required.

We offer membership of the NHS pension scheme and have free parking available at each practice.
