We are a rural dispensing GP practice in Hawkhurst, currently based across two sites. This role will be based at our Talbot Road site (except for Thursday mornings which will be at the Rye Road site). We are looking for someone to work Monday, Tuesday and Fridays 8.30am-1.30pm at Talbot Road and Thursday's 8.30am-1.30pm at Rye Road. Whilst the role will mainly deal with phlebotomy, we are also looking for the HCA to also do B12/Flu/Covid vaccinations, basic wound care, ECG's, ear syringing. Full training can be provided.

Working under the direct supervision of the Partners and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the healthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Duties and responsibilities:
New patient health checks
ECG recording
Phlebotomy
Vaccinations i.e. flu, shingles, pneumococcal, B12 etc.
Ear irrigations
Diabetic monitoring
Chaperoning duties
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions.
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients’ health and well-being
Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
