Job summary Southampton West PCN is one of the largest PCNs in the region and has found huge success in collaborative working across numerous projects including the Covid vaccine programme. Our PCN sees an exciting opportunity to expand our leadership team and are looking for a full time Business Manager to join us to help deliver on our priorities and support our strategic development. We’re looking for someone who is adept at coordinating multidisciplinary teams from organisations who are aligned around common purpose, but each holding their unique qualities. This new business role will work alongside the Clinical Directors and the wider PCN team to translate our contractual requirements into actionable projects, and then oversee the mechanics of these projects. We are aiming for transformation; to take learning from our successes to date and create “business as usual” processes that support our member Practices to continue delivering high quality healthcare to the patients they serve, whilst spotting the innovative opportunities to do things differently. Main duties of the job The PCN Business Manager will be a key member of the PCN leadership team, working closely with the Clinical Directors, Practice management and clinical teams within our member Practices as well as our local Systems partners such as the CCG. The PCN Business Manager will contribute to the evolving PCN strategy and will lead on shaping, defining and delivering operational workstreams and ensuring PCN staff and services are well integrated in the practices. The role is pivotal in driving the PCN forward to ensure delivery of the contractual elements of the PCN DES and against the targets set by NHSE, the CCG and the West PCN Board. About Us Southampton West Primary Care Network Southampton West Primary Care Network (PCN) consists of 9 GP surgeries in the west of the City and covers 93,000 patients. Our mission is to work collaboratively to develop high quality services for our patients, so that we can improve health outcomes that enable people to live well, for longer, whilst developing resilient primary care. The PCN hosts a strong and supportive multi-disciplinary team consisting of mental health practitioners, peer support workers, social prescribers, care coordinators, health and wellbeing coaches, physios and clinical pharmacists. We work closely with our local system partners to deliver healthcare to our patients as a collective. For this role, we are working with Southampton Primary Care Ltd who will be the employer. You will be based on site in our member GP Practices, and will benefit from the expertise within SPCL.
