WE ARE HIRING

Salaried GP required to join our supportive and innovative team in the heart of Oadby Here at The Central Surgery Oadby we value innovation, team working, excellent patient care and a healthy work-life balance. We are a teaching, training and research practice and care for approximately 9000 patients. We are active members of the Oadby and Wigston PCN.

THE POST

• 4 – 8 sessions, but can be flexible by mutual agreement

• Share of on call • Opportunity to be involved in teaching and training

• Salaried BMA contract applies. • We offer a competitive salary and package of benefits

• Medical Indemnity paid

• 6 weeks A/L + 1 week study leave + bank hols pro rata

• In-house mentorship including appraisals + 1:1 meetings

• Daily coffee meetings

• Weekly clinical meetings

• Flexible working hours by mutual agreement

• We offer a preceptorship scheme to newly qualified GPs to ease the transition from trainee to qualified GP

A TYPICAL DAY

• Remote consultations + F2F where you feel it is indicated

• Not a fan of remote consulting? We can offer full F2F clinics by mutual agreement

• Daily coffee meetings to chat and discuss queries

• Share of administrative work including pathology filing, tasks letters, (these are kept to a minimum by our excellent correspondence management team), private paperwork, etc.

Our team consists of GPs, minor illness ANPs, an ANP specialising in care home/frail and EOL patients, a Practice pharmacist, Practice Nursing/HCA/Phlebotomy team and a strong management, administrative and reception team, as well as a strong and diverse allied health professional team via the PCN.

We are at the forefront of streamlining workload and improving patient care and have been recognised nationally for the work we have undertaken with NHSE regarding this. We use the AskmyGP online platform, Accurx & SystemOne We were recently rated Good on our latest CQC inspection in March 2022.
