Salary £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

We are looking for a highly accomplished, motivated, productive, and proactive individual with a demonstrable career in business and people management, leadership, patient services, IT, finance, premises, and strategic management. The successful candidate will be responsible for organisational leadership, service improvement and delivery of key targets across the full range of clinical and administrative areas within the practice. A high degree of personal organisational skill is required as well as a systematic approach to problem solving and planning. This is an exciting opportunity, for the right candidate, to play a pivotal role in leading the practice within a well-rounded, supportive, and stable team.

About Us

We are a long established, close knit, dispensing practice in a semi-rural area of North Yorkshire, situated half-way between the vibrant city of Leeds and historic York, with a list size of 10,500.

We are a very high achieving practice in QOF, with good CQC reports, and an innovative and open approach to new ideas and thinking. The practice is based in two adjacent buildings from which we deliver primary care services as well as providing accommodation for Tadcaster & Selby Rural PCN, community nurses, physiotherapy, podiatry, and outreach sexual health service. The buildings are fully owned by the partnership.

Our team currently comprises of 5 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 GP retainer and a skilled nursing team. All of which are supported by an experienced admin team including: - Practice Managers Assistant, secretaries, coders, dispensers, and receptionists.

The practice is part of the Tadcaster and Selby Rural PCN, with the additional roles of

Clinical pharmacist, social prescriber, UCP’s, Health care co-ordinator and Mental Health worker being embedded within out teams.

We are also a Teaching practice with 2 GPs sharing education of 3rd year Medical students from Hull and York Medical School

Our clinical system is currently EMIS web. We encourage continued professional development and we are keen to support any training needs that are required for the successful candidate. The Practice manager is fully supported by a large reputable accounting firm for tax and payroll and has direct access to medico legal advice. The Practice manager is encouraged to be involved in the local Practice Managers' Group who provide great peer support and have a wealth of knowledge and experience collectively. The Practice Manager would have the opportunity to join the NHS Pension scheme.

The successful applicant will be expected to meet the English Language Fluency requirements as outline in the Immigration Act 2016.
