HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT VACANCY
36 HOURS PER WEEK
Brynderwen & Minster Surgeries are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant (Healthcare Support Worker) to work as part of their friendly, experienced team of 5 nurses who work with the HCA to deliver excellent care to our circa 19,000 patients.
The nursing team works autonomously, yet as an integral, respected part of the clinical and wider team. The HCA, nursing and wider clinical team have a varied skill mix and provide high quality; evidence based primary care to patients with long term, chronic diseases as well as other, diverse duties.
Experience in General Practice and a Healthcare Support Worker qualification is desirable but, not essential as all appropriate training will be given. If you are passionate about delivering the best possible, evidence based patient care and want a wide skill mix this could be the role you are looking for.
The entire clinical team works at both Brynderwen and Minster Surgeries, with a structured clinic format and allocated administration time. Regular team meetings and a supportive, inclusive and approachable team of doctors, alongside an organised administrative team with dedicated IT staff helps to create a satisfying role, which encourages professional and personal development.
Healthcare Assistants in the surgery undertake roles such as wound care, dressings, injections, routine reviews, blood monitoring, vaccinations and much more. Duties are dependent on qualification and appropriate training, full training and clinical qualification to relevant level will be provided.

Days and hours of work (negotiable)
Monday: 08:30 – 17:30,
Tuesday & Wednesday 08:30 – 16:30,
Thursday 08:30 – 15:30,
Friday 08:30 – 12:30
Salary is negotiable, dependent on experience within practice pay scales which range between A4C equivalent bands 3.10 – 4.15 £19,631 – £22,819 pro-rata on the practice pay scales.
