Are you an enthusiastic GP who would like to work between 4 and 8 sessions a week, initially as a salaried GP, with a view to becoming a partner?
Stowhealth is an inclusive, friendly, flexible, forward thinking, multi-disciplinary primary care team. Based in Stowmarket mid-Suffolk.
We have a reputation for award-winning innovation and novel working practices, developed to fit around our individual clinicians.
We will support, train and professionally develop the right individual who can help us meet our own and our patients’ needs.
Stowhealth itself cares for over 20,000 patients, and, working as part of Suffolk Primary Care, benefits from being part of a network of 35 partners spread across 11 different practices Suffolk wide looking after a total of 130,000 patients.
We are part of the Stowmarket locality of East Suffolk PCN. We have easy access to the A14, are near the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds, surrounded by lovely countryside and not far from the Suffolk coast.
* We use the askmyGP online consultation service - allowing us to manage our own workload, with control over face-to-face appointment lengths and timings.
* Our team of doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses and physician associates deal with daily clinical enquiries.
*Our skilled care navigators, receptionists and admin staff deal with non-clinical issues on our behalf
* We have a long-term conditions clinic each week, utilising the skills of our fantastic HCA’s and nurses and overseen by one of GP partners.
* We have implemented a streamlining process for pathology results and letters to reduce the number of administrative tasks per day.
* We have 2 paramedics who perform the majority of home visits.
* Our medication management hub, practice pharmacist and PCN pharmacy team deal with the majority of medication queries.
*We have a First Contact physiotherapy service to triage MSK problems.
We have a salaried doctor remuneration scale based on additional roles undertaken, and, if mutually agreeable, we are hoping to find a new partner to join Stowhealth and Suffolk Primary Care.
