We have a new opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed salaried GP/Partner to join us at our Medical Centre based in the stunning and small historic town of Lechlade.
The Upper Thames Medical Group population is 12,500 and we are made up of two surgeries, the Park Surgery in Cirencester and the Lechlade Medical Centre, which merged in 2017. We support patients in both of the towns, as well as the neighbouring villages and hamlets. Led by Dr Julian Tallon, we are 5 Partner team, supported by a multi-disciplined team of salaried GPs, Practice Manager and 2 Deputy Practice Managers, an ANP, nurses, HCAs, pharmacist and an excellent administrative team.
Following a review of resourcing, we would like to appoint an individual working on a 4/6 sessions per week basis, ideally, either working Monday and Friday or Thursday and Friday each week (plus another day if working 6 sessions per week).
We are offering a competitive salary and a starting date is negotiable but ideally the successful applicant would be available in late spring/early summer 2021. The workload is well managed with predictable working hours. All patients utilise online access and services, telephone and video consultations as well as face to face consultations where required.
We pride ourselves in providing excellent patient centred care, continuous service improvement and a team based approach. Care, compassion and humour are very important to us. We are member of the South Cotswolds PCN and have been working with other local surgeries in providing the recent COVID-19 Vaccine rollout programme. We received a “Good” in the CQC inspection in 2019 and as we are a training Practice, we have a combination of FY2s and GP trainees at different times.
Steeped in history, Lechlade has good transport links. We are near to the M4, M5 and A420 for travel from Oxford, Swindon, Birmingham or Bristol and the local train stations are based at Kemble and Oxford. There are outstanding state and private schools within the area and a wide variety of housing options available. Lechlade is a town with a great sense of community spirit.
