Mayford House Surgery - Locum GP (6 months maternity cover)
GP maternity cover wanted for 6 months starting 24th May 2021 to join our very friendly practice based in the lovely market town of Northallerton (very close to Betty’s tea shop!)
5/6 sessions/week required, ideally Monday, Thursday and Friday (but days could be flexible) covering extended access occasionally. Rates negotiable depending on experience.
Low home visit requirement due to having a paramedic linked to the surgery.
Mayford House is a dispensing practice with a population of approx.10,000 and use System One.
We are a 4 partner, well established training practice for both GP, SpRs and F2 doctors. We have 3 salaried GPs and an ANP. We also have a practice pharmacist and a letter management team who significantly reduce the work load for us by dealing with discharge letters and prescription changes.
We are a dynamic, forward thinking practice shown by our recent employment of a frailty nurse who is invaluable with liaising with our local nursing homes. We actively engage in CCG pilot studies and are heavily involved in research. We offer a full range of GMS services including coil and implant fits/removals, pessary fits and removals, as well as joint injections. CQC rated good.
Key skills and qualifications: Must be a fully registered GP with the GMC, possess the right work in the UK and be included on the NHS performers list.
