An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Nurse to join Penn Hill Surgery in Yeovil. We are a high achieving PMS practice based in Yeovil town centre and working from purpose built premises. The practice is also forward thinking and is closely engaged with four other Yeovil practices as part of the Yeovil Primary Care Network. We have almost 10,000 patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, dynamic Practice Nurse to join our friendly nursing team. The post is for 24 hours per week.
Some recent experience within a Primary Care Setting is desirable, but it is important to us that any applicant is adaptable, highly motivated, relishes a challenge and wants to develop an ongoing career in Primary Care. You will be working alongside 4 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 GP registrar and 3 advanced nurse practitioners. Our Lead Practice Nurse manages the nursing team of 3 experienced practice nurses and 4 HCAs. This team together covers a whole range of practice nursing duties.
The post holder will provide a professional service performing all relevant forms of nursing care without direct supervision and providing support to the GPs. A relevant diploma in at least one area of chronic disease management is desirable. Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.
