Blaina Medical Practice is seeking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team. We have chosen to employ an ANP as this is a role that we value very much. We are a medium size practice with a stable list size of 6,500 patients based in the Blaenau Gwent Valleys. We are a single site practice in a modern building which has been recently renovated to a high standard to include new consultation rooms, a new reception area and staff lounge. The practice is well-run, has a manageable workload and serves a friendly practice population with a strong emphasis on community values.
You’ll enjoy working alongside an excellent clinical team comprising of 4 GPs, a prescribing practice nurse, a health care assistant, phlebotomists, NCN pharmacist and an excellent administrative team. We also have final year medical students and have recently been accepted to be a GP training practice.
Key Information
- 25-37.5 hours per week
- Well-managed workload and excellent internal support structures to assist you in your daily work
- GP on site at all times
- ANP to provide high level clinical expertise, knowledge, and skills in the treatment of patients in a Primary Care setting. This will include taking the lead role in the clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients who may present with highly complex and/or chronic conditions

- Registered Nurse with active NMC pin and holds MSc Advanced Clinical Practice degree, holds Independent/Supplementary prescribing qualification.
