Following the resignation of one of our salaried GPs, Church View Surgery are seeking a 4-8 session GP, salaried or partner, to join our friendly team. We are a modern and forward thinking practice, with a hugely supportive ethos.
We pride ourselves in providing excellent care to just over 12,000 patients in Plymstock, a suburb to the east of Plymouth on the South West coast. We have a “good” CQC rating, and a consistent record of very high QOF achievement. Our premises are purpose built and partner owned. We train GP Registrars, medical students and student nurses, and are lucky to be situated just 10 minutes’ drive to our local beach and close to Dartmoor National Park.
We are tackling the many challenges facing Primary Care with enthusiasm, good humour and teamwork. With one of our partners as Clinical Director, we are leading the establishment of the Primary Care Network in our local area. We have worked very hard in the last few years to provide the best possible support to our GP team, and have a range of measures in place to ensure that GP work/ life balance is as good as we can make it. Practice workflow is managed by our admin team, we have nurses filing blood results, visiting paramedics, insurance medicals and reports carried out by a locum, and 15 minute GP appointments. We are involved in a CCG funded project to establish a Primary Care Centre in Plymstock, and if you are interested in training as a GPSI, we would be able to support your training locally.
We are very open to recruiting GPs with family commitments, because as a practice we understand and appreciate the particular pressures that parents face. We have several trainers in our practice, and are experienced in supporting newly qualified GPs.
