Contraception update for Primary Care

This is an afternoon event.
Times: 12:45 - 17:00
This is an overview and update by Dr Sarah Gray for the non-specialist GP, practice nurse or pharmacist and will include:
- Contraception – how the different methods work and how well they work
- How do you offer a choice and position the options
- Latest guidance on combined hormonal methods (the “pill”)
- Counselling for the long acting methods (LARCs)
- Managing contraception in women over 40
- Post exposure methods (emergency contraception)
- This will be interactive in style with lots of opportunity to ask questions.
- It will provide three hours of CME which could be used for re-accreditation of the DFSRH.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
