This seminar is delivered by LMC Law whose core business includes Healthcare and General Practice in the UK. They work for a number of Local Medical Committees (LMCs) and GPs across the country, offering down to earth, practical advice. This seminar has been designed to address the range of issues that LMC Law have dealt with over the years and to offer practical solutions in dealing with them.

This one hour seminar provides an update on general data protection regulations and offers practical advice on the matters a practice should put into place to ensure that they are working within those regulations. The topics include:

Definitions including ‘processor’, ‘controller’ and ‘personal information’

Principles of collecting and processing personal information

What is a legitimate interest?

Employees and processing their information

Privacy notices, data sharing and data processing agreements

General information governance matters and subject access requests
