Vacancy for a Full Time Pharmacist
Albany Surgery, Bovey Tracey/Chudleigh Medical Practice & Kingskerswell/ Ipplepen Medical Practice in Newton Abbot.
An opportunity has a risen for a full time Pharmacist to join the team at Kingskerswell & Ipplepen Medical Practice, Albany Surgery in Newton Abbot and Bovey Tracey and Chudleigh Medical Practice. The teams across the three practices have an excellent reputation as friendly, hardworking, high achieving accredited training practices. The practices have been rated Good or Outstanding by CQC, with consistent, positive GP patient survey results which demonstrate the strong patient centred customer focus and efficiency of the teams.
Candidates should be qualified and skilled having completed an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. May hold or be working towards an independent prescribing qualification. Be Able to follow legal, ethical, professional and organisational policies/procedures. Involve patients in decisions about prescribed medicines and support adherence as per NICE guidelines.
The role is varied and diverse with clinical support and mentorship provided; there will be a strong focus on self-development and team engagement. Some of the areas the candidate would be asked to focus their attention on would be:
Patients with long term health conditions (i.e. Hypertension, Cardiovascular).
Acute Meds management programmes
Drug Alerts
Patients who present with acute presentations
Patient medication reviews
Medication reconciliation
Working with local Care homes
Quality Improvement projects
You may occasionally be required to work additional days covering absences of colleagues or working as part of our Improved access Team.
